Past Member Events

Take a look at some of our past events, from tailgates and bus trips to cookie decorating and painting parties.

Blue & White Tailgate

On September 14th, the Blue & White Society hosted a member-exclusive tailgate at the Hintz before the Pitt football game. Members were able to participate in various games like corn hole and jumbo Jenga.  They could also pick up their spirit scarves, and eat some good food.  Additionally, there was a special visit from the Nittany Lion!

Bus Trip to NYC

Blue & White members had the oppurtunity to take a trip to NYC as our first bus trip of the school year.  Our memebers enjoyed a meal at Proper West, took a tour of NBC Studios, and had the chance to connect with Penn State alumni, all while exploring the Big Apple. Head to our Bus Trips page to find out where we're heading next!

Cookie Decorating

Anne Yorks, owner of Flour Fox Bakery and Penn State alum, spent a night with members and taught them how to decorate Penn State themed cookies. She brought all of the supplies: cookies, frosting, frosting bags, boxes, and Penn State pride. She taught members different techniques for decorating cookies as well as telling them about her business, family, and time at Penn State. Members even got to take their creations home!

Old Main Painting Party

Members got the chance to vote on a Penn State scene to paint and chose our iconic Old Main, with a beautiful cotton candy backdrop. They learned different techniques, such as painting lighter parts first and painting in sections. Everyone was able to put their own unique touches on their paintings while getting to know new members of BWS.
