Programming Board

About Programming Board

The Programming Board (PB) is a group of student leaders recruited at the beginning of each Fall semester. Comprised of seven committees (called prides) that are led by the Executive Board, their job is to help plan and execute all of Blue & White Society's events and projects throughout the year. Each committee has a very different role, and has its own purpose in completing Blue & White Society's mission.

Programming Board Prides:

Marketing
Campus Engagement
Membership Experience
Membership Recruitment
Internal Affairs
Alumni Relations
Philanthropy

Marketing

The Marketing pride is responsible for the promotion of events to its members and Penn State community. This pride uses different platforms of social media to spread the word about different events held. Marketing helps build awareness of our many events throughout the year.

Campus Engagement

Campus Engagement pride puts together events that bring the Penn State community together as well as the members of the Blue & White Society. They are responsible for events that bring the current students and past students together to help maintain the traditions that built this University. Campus Engagement helps keep the Penn State spirit alive within our large membership base.

Membership Experience

The Membership Experience pride is the foundation of the Blue & White Society. With our growing 5,000+ membership base, this pride is here to help members make connections and help them create a link to the University and Penn State Alumni Association that they can maintain during and after their time at Penn State through events such as the annual Football Tailgate at the Hintz Alumni Center.

Membership Recruitment

The Membership Recruitment pride supports membership goals by organizing tabling events, recruiting at involvement fairs, managing outreach across campus, etc. In addition, this pride works to directly interact and speak with students in order to enhance their experiences within the organization at our recruitment events.

Internal Affairs

The Internal Affairs Pride is responsible for maintaining morale and motivation within the Executive and Programming Boards, through means such as social events and team building activities. This pride will also lead BWS's homecoming efforts.

Alumni Relations

The Alumni Relations pride connects the Blue & White Society with Penn State alumni all around the world. This pride brings alumni back to Penn State and connects them with current students. Alumni Relations also encourages the continual commitment to Penn State long after graduation. It promotes the benefits of being a part of the Blue & White Society while on campus and being part of one of the largest alumni networks after leaving campus.

Philanthropy

The Philanthropy pride is responsible for building awareness for THON and other philanthropies. They are also involved with fundraising for our philanthropies throughout the year. This pride also helps out with different service opportunities benefiting the Penn State community and State College community.
